Shukaku of the Sand

Shukaku of the Sand (also called one tailed Shukaku) is the weakest tailed beasts. Legend has it that it was the a corrupted spirit of a sand monk from Sunagakure that turned into a demon.
As with all tailed beasts, it has an intense bloodlust which drives its behavior and it will kill anyone in sight given the chance.
Shukaku was sealed inside Gaara by Chiyo on the orders of Gaara’s father the Fourth Kazekage. However, Deidara is assigned to capture the Shukaku and after defeating Gaara in combat the Shukaku is forcefully extracted from Gaara.
Gaara is killed by this but then resurrected by a combination of Chiyo’s life transferring skill and Naruto’s chakra. Gaara retains the ability to control sand but to what degree remains unclear.
